Twister Masks

Designed in 2022, for a Live Performing artist to help reduce performance anxiety and also concealing identity using the band's Star Motif as a 3D form inspiration.

It was meant to be 3D printed and lit by RGB LEDs placed at edge of the mask, hiding the face using material interacting light illusions.

An array of the modified star element formed a continuous distorting surface.

The 3D printed acrylic panels would interact with 2 LED strips to create

a unique mesh of 2 lights.

A variant using only 1 layer and 1 light strip was created alongside,

using a similar but simpler effect.
