Volexated Shades RAW

Voxelated Shades are an experiment to understand the aesthetics of computational design and is a RAW, unedited and un-engineered result of topology optimization experiments.

Multiple outputs of the algorithm were combined in this exploration, giving it a digital and pixelated look.

Inspired by nature's way of designing with help of evolution and natural selection, Computational Topology Optimisation was used to create these lightweight glasses with organic bone-like aesthetics.

The two tone temples can be 3D printed using multi nozzle printers, keeping their aesthetic intact.

Illuminating "gems" laced with radium can be placed in the nose bridge during the 3D printing process. They explore the suspended component look, encased in the transparent part.
